THE PROJECT
The unity כלל ישראל saw this past year was incredibly inspiring and uplifting. Over the summer, when our nation was being battered and attacked from the outside,’ברוך ה we bonded together and really behaved like family. People all across the spectrum from chareidi to chiloni were helping each other, supporting one another and davening together as one.
We are a group of teenage girls and this past summer we felt two opposing emotions. On one hand, we felt so proud to be a part of such a unified family. On the other hand, we struggled with the fact that the unity was a result of such pain. The tragedy that caused us to reflect was the kidnapping and death of the three קדושים, Naftali Fraenkel, Eyal Yifrah, and Gilad Shaer הי''ד. We were amazed at the unity that took place as Klal Yisroel davened and begged for their return, however troubled by the fact that our nation had to wait for something as tragic and painful as this, to come together. We must show 'ה that we are putting in our efforts to unite over good things, rather than Him having to strike us to make us unite. Because at the end of the day, good or bad, “כל ישראל ערבים זה לזה” We are one nation. Let us prove it.
We have the power to unite for the sole purpose of making 'ה proud of us, and bringing משיח closer. The בית המקדש was destroyed because of שנאת חנם, our חז''ל share that we need to do the exact opposite to bring about the גאולה. We must unite and be the nation 'ה wants us to be. Be the nation that is known as brothers and sisters. Be the nation that is כאיש אחד בלב אחד.
Join us in becoming that nation!
We have developed a program to promote unity throughout the Jewish world, and raise awareness to the importance of loving and accepting each other.
This program is called Project US.
U.S.— United Sisters
Project US is geared towards frum high school girls. It is our hope that the practical and inspiring lessons we learn will impact schools, families and eventually all of כלל ישראל.
Every month we will אי''ה release a 12-15 minute video containing a short speech by a well-known speaker talking about a component of unity. Each speaker will share inspiration and practical application on a specific מידה of אחדות.
What we ask from the schools involved, is to have two girls serve as representatives, and 12-15 minutes every month for the video to be presented to the entire school together.
Project US is under the supervision of Rav Pinchus Jung Shlita.
We have the support and Haskama from Rav Shmuel Kaminetsky Shlita.
